What the Company does:
Warped Noise Productions are a video production company that specialise in creating innovative music videos and capturing the energy of live music performances on DVD. We can host videos on the internet and offer a wide range of post-production services and visual effects editing at our in-house production suite.
Successes/achievements to date:
We have filmed over 40 bands and a variety of artists and performers since the company was formed in July 2006. We filmed the Dudley Performing Arts Festival (which featured orchestras, percussion ensembles and many rock groups), have made a corporate video for additive company Addmaster and have an ongoing project with the National Health Service, involving an interactive DVD. In September 2006 we filmed Cannock-based band, 'Never Say Die' at Legends bar at Staffordshire University. We recently produced a live DVD of The Sunshine Underground, an up-and-coming indie rock band with a considerable fanbase. We played a big part in the Stafford Film Festival in October 2006, by teaching six lucky schoolchildren from St Leonard's Primary School about filmmaking techniques. Warped Noise won three awards in the Stafford Film Festival, including the Judges Award and the Special Achievement Commission for our 'Victoria Pleasure Grounds' film. As a result, we have been commissioned to make a film for next year's Film Festival. Our latest project involved filming a 20-piece group of musicians called, 'Yams Big Band.'
How the SPEED Scheme helped:
The SPEED Scheme has been a great help to us. We are extremely grateful for the office, which we established as a base for our business operations. Having an individual computer and phone plus a fax machine has been fundamental in the running and continuation of our business. We welcomed the support offered by the scheme, especially the free business training, which has vastly improved our business knowledge and will hopefully be reflected in the successes of the company.
